Hislop Migration Services (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it and how we look after it, in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
When you send an enquiry through our website we collect your name, phone number, email address, the visa type you’re interested in and your message.
If you become a client, we collect the information needed to give you migration advice and prepare your visa application. This can include identity documents, passport details, family, education, employment, health and character information, and in some cases sensitive information. We only collect sensitive information with your consent and when it’s needed for your application.
How we use it
We use your information to:
- reply to your enquiry and discuss your options
- provide migration advice and prepare and lodge visa applications on your behalf
- communicate with the Department of Home Affairs, sponsors, education providers and other parties involved in your application, with your consent
- meet our obligations under the Migration Act 1958 and the Code of Conduct for registered migration agents
We don’t sell your information or use it for marketing without your permission.
How we store it
Website enquiries are sent to us by email and are not stored on our web server. Client files are kept securely and retained for the period required by the Code of Conduct for registered migration agents.
Third-party services on this website
Our website uses Google Fonts and an embedded Google Map, which means Google receives your IP address when you view our pages. Our website doesn’t use advertising or tracking cookies. Links to Facebook, LinkedIn and the Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority (OMARA) take you to sites with their own privacy policies.
