Temporary Graduate visa (Subclass 485) allows recent graduates to live and work in Australia temporarily for a period ranging from 18 months to 3 years, depending on your qualifications.Temporary Graduate visa (Subclass 485)
A temporary visa that allows international students to live, study and work after you have finished your studies. You must be aged 35 years or under when you apply, hold an eligible visa and have a recent qualification in a CRICOS-registered course in the last 6 months.
Post-Vocational Education Work stream
This visa is for international students who have recently graduated with vocational qualifications that are relevant to specific occupations Australia needs. It lets you live, study and work in Australia temporarily.
Stay Duration:
Up to 18 months. Hong Kong and British National Overseas passport holders may stay for 5 years.
You must:
- be 35 years of age or under when you apply
- be in Australia when you apply for this visa
- hold an eligible visa
- have held a Student visa in the last 6 months
- have a qualification relevant to an occupation on the skilled occupation list
- have applied for a skills assessment in your nominated occupation on the skilled occupation list
- provide evidence of adequate health insurance for all applicants when you apply
- provide evidence you have applied for an Australian Federal Police check when you apply.
- provide evidence of the required level of English with your application.
Post-Higher Education Work stream
This visa is designed for international students who have recently graduated from an Australian institution. It allows you to live, work, and study in Australia on a temporary basis.
Stay Duration:
Usually between 2 and 3 years, depending on your qualification. Hong Kong and British National Overseas passport holders may stay for 5 years.
You must:
- be aged 35 years or under when you apply
- be in Australia when you apply for this visa
- hold an eligible visa
- have held a Student visa in the last 6 months
- have a recent degree in a CRICOS-registered course
- provide evidence of adequate health insurance for all applicants when you apply
- provide evidence you have applied for an Australian Federal Police check when you apply.
- provide evidence of the required level of English with your application.
